Last night:
7:45 Nurse the Dillo, put him down to sleep. Fall asleep some time after 8.
8:45 Casper is screaming. After a few minutes, intervene in bedtime routine gone awry and tag out mr. flea. Lie in bed in the dark with Casper, who is chatty and wiggly. Mostly say, "Shh. It's sleepy time." Yawn a lot.
9:07 Get Casper a cup of milk. Maybe 15-20 minutes later we both fall alseep.
10:22 The Dillo is crying. Go nurse him. Go to sleep in my bed.
2:30ish The Dillo is awake and wiggly. Nurse him. Fall alseep.
4:30ish mr. flea is snoring like a walrus. Nudge him repeatedly with no luck. Dillo is awake, wiggling, and sucking on his fist slurpily. Abandon the bed and go to living room to sleep on the couch.
4:45ish Casper cries out "Mama mama mama mama mama mama mama mama mama etc." Go to her. Settle to sleep with her as she says, "I love sleeping with you, mama."
6:30 The Dillo is crying. Go nurse him. Lie there like a dead thing for 10 minutes. Get up.
So, last night I slept in 2 beds and 1 couch, was awakened by my husband once, my daughter twice, and the baby 4 times (thank god the cat kept to herself). I think I spent a total of about 9 hours asleep, but in five separate chunks.
In good news, the Dillo is doing really well with self-soothing by sucking his hand.
