Cuteness of Brother and newly live-in girlfriend: Large. Especially concerning their cat, on whom they dote.

Weight of Lieve, Neapolitan Mastiff: 115 pounds, at 13 months.

Politeness and general fun level of Lieve: Low. Grunts like a pig and snores, is not very sociable, eats small items off the floor.

Squeals of glee uttered by veejane on watching Two Chinese Students lipsync "I want it that way" for the first time: Approximately 13.

Pounds gained by mr. flea since Casper was conceived 3 years ago: 35

Types of penguins at the New England Aquarium: 4, I think.

Number of people at the New England Aquarium: Too flippin' many.

Best line of the week, by Casper, lateish on Christmas morning, after opening many presents, mostly books and clothes, upon picking up a box from veejane which gives a distinctive Lego rattle: "There's TOYS in there!"

First thought on returning home: "My god, I live in a shabby, messy, cluttered house."
