me: I think it's over, honey.
Casper: It's over (sadly).
me: Did you like that show?
Casper: Yeah.
me: What did you learn? Did you learn anything?
Casper: No.

She's developed the weirdest pronounciation quirk - park is now "pike", dark is "dike" and anything with a final R sounds like that gets weirdly inflected vowels. No idea where this one came from - Alexander is still saying "pow-ahk."

I've known Brits (Cockneys, I think, but it's been a long time) whose long A sounded like our long I sound. But I've never heard the short A or AR come out that way. Is this what happens when you raise a child from Yankee stock, south of the Mason-Dixie?
