Jesus loves the little children

This song is the MOST EVIL EARWORM EVER, surpassing It's a Small World. No wonder Casper asks me to sing it for her all the time. Since I was getting annoyed with it by 5pm yesterday, we changed the words, so now in our family it goes:
Casper loves to drink the nursie,
All the nursie in the world.
On the left or on the right,
In the middle of the night,
Casper wants all the nursie in the world.

In other news, it probably means I need a style intervention if the arrival of a big Lands' End sale catalog has occasioned excitement, right? But cheap! And practical for work! I could be careful and select non-dowdy things, right? (Are there non-dowdy things?)

Practical and new! And you can be selective and not just wear all Land's End stuff.

(Given that the earworm is of Small World stature -- I am very very happy that I don't know that tune that goes with the verse.)

Snickering madly at Casper's rewrite. Now I have to find the tune so I can hum along.

I have given in to the dark side of the dowd.

The tune is in a message of Cindy's commenting on the previous post. But you've been warned!!

I know the tune, and the new, improved lyrics are fabulous.

Then again, I changed "Waltzing Matilda" to

Changing the diaper! Changing the diaper!
I'll change the diaper for my Miss Kailey
'Cause she pees, and she poops, and we put it in the diaper pail!
I'll change the diaper for my miss Kailey!

I didn't think I knew thes song, but it just occurred to me that Ray Stevens used some children singing it as the lead-in to what was probably his biggest hit ever, "Everything Is Beautiful," back in the seventies.

Some Lands' End things are non-dowdy. They've got a special category of women's professional wear which is okay, if not great.

Thanks for the reminder: I need to go do some shopping. *g*

Land's End is a lot less dowdy than it used to be. LLBean is still keepin' it real on the dowdy front, though. :-)
