food

Foods my two-year-old likes that are not, I suspect, the usual two-year-old favorites:
coffee
coffee beans
"crunchy noodles" - raw, uncooked pasta, which she will beg for while I am cooking dinner
salt - she sucked on the salt shaker when we were out at a restaurant this weekend
feta cheese
black olives - given the choice, she could LIVE on black olives, canned or real kalamata
dill pickles
ice cubes - another thing she begs for
eggshell - if she sees eggshell in the compost bowl, she'll pit a fit crying for it. Can be pacified with crunchy noodles.
salad dressing - especially Newman's Own Balsamic, which she eats with her bare hand

However, healthy foods are among her favorites too:
Canned black beans - she ate them so enthusiastically last night at dinner that there was black bean sludge in the tub after her bath
frozen peans
frozen blueberries - but not fresh, to which she says, "I wanna squish 'em" and does.
fresh sweet corn - eaten raw off the cob, she'll eat two

Things she used to like and doesn't any more:
Yogurt
Her affection for cheese in general has diminshed although not disappeared
Applesauce

Sounds like a girl who likes salt and texture in her food! How old do you have to be to eat popcorn?

I used to eat raw spaghetti too.
