fandom note

This will probably be my only one of the year, as I am among the unfannish, but it amuses me so much that most of my invisible friends, who mostly came together because of Buffy fannishness, have now fallen into one of four sets of active fandoms, about all of which I know almost nothing: manga, USian superhero comics, Sci-Fi Fridayish television, and baseball. And almost no overlap - I can think of very few people I know who are deeply interested in more than one of these. How we have scattered!

You forgot Harry Potter. :)

Hee. It's so true...and I'm not into any of those either. Which makes my friendslist occasionally look like "blah blah blah I LIKE CARROTS!". :)

Well, Shrift is doing manga, superheroes, and SGA. So she's 3 for 3. But she's the only one I know of.

But not baseball, so she's 3 for 4.

And to be fair, I'm the only person you know who moved into baseball. Everybody else was already there, but there wasn't the critical mass of posts that got your attention to the matter, till last year.

Your volume and energy makes up for the fact that there is only one of you. Also, I swear we rarely saw the 5-paragraph Dodgers posts from DX before you got into baseball.

There were occasional posts back in the day, and it helped that the Dodgers were actually good last season, but it's a pretty fair cop. Fandom synergy. Does a baseball post exist if no one comments on it?

Ack! Math!

::hides head::

See, baseball fandom practically requires math. It's obvious why you didn't go there.

It's okay, sweetie. It was baseball math. Not your fandom. :)

Heh. x-post.

What about clothes? I think we can consider clothes a fandom. :-)
