Downstairs neighbors can be very unreasonable. I had one call the landlord on me - the phone was ringing as I walked in my empty apartment after church on a Sunday.

"What? I just walked in the door!"
"Well, maybe you left the TV or a radio on?"
"No. There's nothing on."
"Nothing?"
"Well, the dishwasher is running..."
