Frances Parkinson Keyes! Wow! She's a terrible writer (all her characters are wooden and sound the same) but a fantastic researcher and early feminist/journalist. Her autobiography is wonderful. (I bet veejane would like it.)

It's pronounced Kize, by the way, with a long i, not 'keys' like house keys. Which I enjoy saying. "Kize" is fun to say.
