I used to get slumgullion and succotash mixed up. In our house, my father called pretty much any one-pot meal made from leftovers slumgullion, so we had no fixed recipe. Reviews tended to be mixed depending upon ingredients. I was never a big fan of the green peppers my mother is so fond of. OTOH, I never like succotash. Hated the stuff. If I never see another lima bean it will be too soon.
