I was weeding too vigorously yesterday evening, and pulled up one of my clematis vines by the roots. This poor plant has survived 5 years of neglect and harsh conditions and every year it pumps out a few more flowers -- we're up to 12 this year. And then I had to go and kill it. I did replant it and I'll water it every day to see what happens, but I am not optimistic.
